RANGE OF EXPERIENCE
Anne was called to the bar in 2003 following a successful career in senior management in policy, communications and strategic planning mainly in the field of public health. She chaired five mainly government funded multidisciplinary committees establishing nationally recognised nutritional guidelines for vulnerable groups. She was Director of the Coronary Prevention Group for five years and was Director of Public Affairs for the National Farmers Union during the BSE crisis. She established her own consultancy giving strategic advice in health and social care to a range of private companies, charities and local government bodies. She provided the strategic direction for the reorganisation of 92 Child Contact Centres when the WRVS were no longer able to run them. This and her work on the expert working groups stimulated her interest in family law. She is also an accredited “all issues” family mediator, mediating from Chambers and in Kensington.

CAREER PATH
After working at Scope to developing their lobbying work in Westminster and Europe, she was appointed Director of the newly formed Coronary Prevention Group which she turned into an effective charity with an international reputation for excellence in policy analysis and information provision on the prevention of coronary heart disease, lecturing in USA and Australia. Was a founder member of the National Heart Forum, the National Food Alliance, now SUSTAIN, and the Caroline Walker Trust. Her work for the Caroline Walker Trust produced national benchmarks for nutrition for vulnerable groups, specifically older people, older people with dementia, under 5s in nurseries, children in care and children, young people and adults with learning disabilities.
After handling press and media and directing communications policy for the NFU throughout the crises of BSE and dioxins she set up her own consultancy in strategic planning and policy implementation with clients that included Charterhouse Development Corporation, Department of Health, Gardner Merchant Healthcare, The Alzheimer’s Society.
Having qualified as a Family Mediator, she joined 1 Garden Court as a pupil in 2004. Was a tenant at 2 Middle Temple Lane joining 13 Kings Bench Walk in May 2008.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
- Her professional practice at the Bar covers private children work, ancilliary relief and proceedings under the Family Law Act 1996, representing parents, grandparents and guardians in the High Court, County Courts and Magistrates Courts.
- She mediates on all issues to do with private children and ancillary relief from Chambers and from Kensington or at venues arranged by Instructing Solicitors.
