RANGE OF EXPERIENCE

David Bright has over 33 years' experience.  He is a Recorder of long-standing.  Originally having a common-law practice, he has specialised in criminal-law for many years.

QUALIFICATIONS

Called to the Bar in 1976.
Appointed Assistant-Recorder in 1992.
Appointed Recorder in 1996.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE 

His experience in criminal-law at all court levels save the Supreme Court is extensive.   He has been involved in cases ranging from the simple to the most complex, including very serious frauds, grave sexual offences, murder, manslaughter and, also, road-traffic and other ‘accidental’ fatalities.

He has a keen interest in the forensic science with a particular knowledge of DNA.
