CAREER PATH
He graduated from University of East Anglia 1979 and was called to the Bar in 1984. He was in pupillage with and joined the Chambers of Peter Crawford QC, now Julian Baughan QC, at 13 King’s Bench Walk, and the annexe at 13 KBW, Oxford, where he has practised to this day.
PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE
His professional practice has covered:
- Comprehensive experience in all areas of common law.
- Extensive Criminal experience, both prosecution and defence, in a variety of serious criminal cases, including drugs, sexual offences, child abuse and murder.
- Important cases have included acting as junior prosecuting Counsel in high value VAT frauds for Customs & Excise.
- Prosecuted and defended in numerous other high value fraud cases.
Drafted a Question for Certification for House of Lords involving the structure of rape indictments in the case of R v. Flitter
