CAREER PATH

She joined the chambers of Roger Ellis QC at 13 King’s Bench Walk as a tenant in August 2000. 

She moved from the Wessex Chambers in Reading where she had developed a local practice with an emphasis on criminal work. 

She graduated from Exeter University in 1993 and was called to the Bar in 1994. 

 

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

Nikki has considerable experience, having both prosecuted and defended a wide range of criminal cases at all levels.  She has been instructed to prosecute serious and multi-handed cases, on behalf of the CPS complex crime unit.  She is sensitive in her handling of difficult and vulnerable witnesses and Defendants, and has dealt with a number of Mental Health Act cases. 

Her recent cases have included serious violence, armed robberies, blackmail, possession with intent to supply and cultivation of controlled drugs, sexual assaults, brothel-keeping and theft by employee.
