RANGE OF EXPERIENCE          

Sarah has a wide range of experience in civil litigation, undertaking both claimant and defendant work. She is a member of Chambers' property, employment, personal injury, and medical law teams. She also undertakes work in the field of consumer law and education law.  She is able to take instructions under the Public Access scheme. 



QUALIFICATIONS

1998:    BA (Hons) in Jurisprudence, Balliol College, Oxford – 2.1

1999:    Bar Vocational Course, Inns of Court School of Law – awarded Very Competent and Outstanding grades.

 


CAREER PATH

Sarah was called to the Bar in 1999.  She was a pupil at 29 Bedford Row before joining Chambers in 2001.  She was granted tenancy following successful completion of a 3rd six pupillage. 

 

 

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE EXPERIENCE

Her professional practice includes: 

  • Property: Sarah advises on a wide range of property law issues including landlord and tenant disputes, dealing with actions in the County Court, Chancery Division and in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal.
  • Employment law: Sarah appears regularly in Employment Tribunals and advises on unfair dismissal, discrimination, harassment and victimisation, health and safety and TUPE.
  • Personal Injury: Sarah's practice covers all aspects of personal injury litigation, including employer's liability, occupier’s liability, road traffic litigation and claims for and against local authorities.
  • Contract: Sarah is instructed in relation to a broad range of contractual disputes, and has particular specialisms in consumer credit and sale of goods legislation, and in construction disputes. 

 

OTHER PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Sarah is an Advocacy Trainer for Inner Temple.   She is a member of the Independent Panel for Special Educational Advice and regularly appears in Special Educational Needs Tribunals on a pro bono basis. 

Sarah has reported cases in both Kemp and Kemp and Current Law.  From 1999 to 2005 she was a regular legal contributor to Occupational Pensions Magazine.
