Jennifer Edwards

Jennifer was called to the Bar in 1992. Her experience covers all aspects of criminal litigation. She appears for both Prosecution and Defence and has conducted a large number of cases involving vulnerable witnesses. She became a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Court) in March 2003, sitting on average 40 days per year both in London and the provinces (excluding the Thames Valley), often ruling upon Bad Character, Hearsay, Special Measure applications and Abuse of Process. Jennifer accepts leading work; she has been Junior counsel in several cases which have attracted considerable publicity and her case load also includes appellate work. In 2007 she became Head of the Crime Team in Chambers. She lives in London and is able to travel throughout the United Kingdom.
