Martin was formerly a solicitor at DLA Piper LLP, Legal Counsel for construction contractor, Land Lease Project Management and Construction and Associate Director of engineering and development consultancy, Mott MacDonald Limited prior to joining chambers. As well as understanding the legal aspects of Commercial Law, he brings a wealth of experience from industry that enables him to fully appreciate the commercial aspects of the cases that he works on. Martin practises in the fields of construction, commercial and insurance law and he has significant experience of acting in complex cases and has appeared in the High Court, County Court, as well as adjudication and arbitration hearings.
Whilst Martin’s primary areas of expertise are in construction, engineering, energy and infrastructure disputes he also has a particular expertise in the following areas:
