Murray Grant

Murray has a common law practice specializing in employment, credit hire and personal injury law.

He advises on and appears regularly in employment cases in tribunals, the county court and High Court with particular experience in unfair dismissal and discrimination (including discrimination on the grounds of age, disability and part time working).  His expertise extends to the areas of transfers of undertakings, breach of fiduciary duty and the duties of directors.

Murray has significant experience advising and appearing in credit hire and personal injury claims.  His personal injury practice includes all forms of employers' liability (with particular experience in noise-induced deafness claims), highway and occupiers' liability and road traffic litigation.  He accepts work under conditional fee agreements.

Murray also accepts work under the Public Access Scheme for Barristers.

Qualifications

  • 2001:  BA(Hons) Jurisprudence Class 2:1, Corpus Christi College, Oxford
  • 2003:  Bar Vocational Course, Nottingham Law School.  Very competent

Called to the Bar in 2003, before embarking on a 12-month pupilage at the Chambers of Julian Baughan QC at 13 KBW, where he became a tenant in 2004.
