Paul is a personal injury and employment law practitioner.
He appears regularly in county courts and employment tribunals. Paul also appears in the High Court, coroners’ courts and before the Criminal Injuries Appeals Panel.
Personal injury and civil litigation
Acting for both claimants and defendants Paul’s personal injury practice includes road traffic accidents, employer’s liability, claims on behalf of children and fatal accident claims. He advises in most areas of personal injury litigation including evidence, settlement tactics and CRU matters.
Paul has particular experience in litigation involving the prison and probation services including false imprisonment, human rights and assault claims.
Employment
In his employment practice Paul acts for both respondents and claimants. He has represented government departments, local authorities and small businesses. Paul has advised on TUPE matters and on whether a person is an employee. Recent tribunal appearances have included claims for unfair dismissal in a redundancy situation, disability discrimination, sex discrimination and constructive dismissal.
