Sinclair has a broad common law practice. He has developed particular expertise in the fields of commercial and employment law and in chancery and property - related law. He regularly acts for and against businesses particularly in the service industry, local authorities, insurers and trade unions. Recent reported cases include Harper v. Virgin Net [2004] ICR 921 and London Borough of Hackney v. Adams [2003] IRLR 402
