Stuart has a common law practice covering most types of commercial and contractual disputes. He specialises in Intellectual Property and Media and Entertainment law where his clients vary from large corporations and music production companies to small businesses and private authors, inventors and composers. His principal focus is musical copyright (see Brown v. MCASSO Music Production Ltd. [2005] EWCC 1: Copyright: contribution to lyrics). His practice extends to privacy law and injunctive relief (see B v. Bauer Publications Ltd ("Take a Break Magazine") (2002) EMLR 8. His personal injury practice includes road traffic accidents, Employers liability, Occupiers Liability and fatal accident claims with a particular expertise in vicarious liability claims against local authorities where he has appeared in the appellate courts.

Stuart is qualified to accept direct public access work particularly in intellectual property disputes.
